And the CD cover looked copied. The quality of the CD didn't seem up to par. It came pretty quickly though.
this is a must buy every track on the cd is awesome.its the perfect blend of classical music and heavy metal to create a new amazing innovative sound to music
Worth every penny. :) Now all my friends are into it. I actually ended up buying the CD and started recommending it for my friends. I bought it after hearing the song "I Don't Care" on the radio once and I instantly loved the song. This is a GREAT CD. I looked up the group, Apocalyptica, and watched the music video to "I Don't Care", then fell in love with the band. I cannot stop listening to this CD and I ended up buying another of their CDs.
I highly recommend it. All the different instruments. I bought this for my 15 yr old son for Christmas after he "subjected" me to the song 'I Don't Care'.I fell in LOVE with this music. This band. It's an incredible amalgam of sounds.
With a guest appearance by Tomoyasu Hotei (the guy who did "Battle Without Honor or Humanity") and the heavy yet beautiful cello work, this is one of the better songs in the Apocalyptica catalogue.I'm Not Jesus was OK. It's not a bad album by any means, but it certainly isn't great. See, I love Apocalyptica. is one of the best songs on here- Scabbia has a beautiful voice, and the song is a really grand effort from these guys.Peace is a bland song, horrible way to go out.In short, this is an OK album. Shame really, since the fact that some of the heaviest things ever were done on just cellos is what made them unique to me (they even boast about it in the booklet for "Inquisition Symphony". 2005, they took the same route but had more classical influenced songs on it, thus having a bit of both the hard rock sound and the Cello/Classical metal sound. Now we're at Worlds Collide. People were starting to become disenchanted with the fact that they added percussions and extra guitars.
Very heavy and riffy, and one of their best openers.Grace is the best song on the album hands down. I liked the verse but the chorus is boring. And the lyrics are stupid.Ion has a interesting start to the song, but other than that it just feels out of place.Helden is a good song musically, but awful vocally. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that with the guest vocalists and the fact that this is their 3rd album with the extra instruments makes me fear that Apocalyptica has become just another Symphonic Metal band. It has its moments of energy and thunder, bit the whole album screams "going though the motions" in the worst possible sense. Burn is an OK song, very heavy- which is one of the best things about it, but gets very repetitive.S.O.S. Maybe it's time for them to hang it up.
You can hear in their playing that they're going though the motions.
I didn't mind this however, though on some songs it felt slightly out of place.
They're one of my favorite bands.
Worlds Collide is great start to the album.
But hopefully they can find their ground again before the time comes that they have to hang it up.
I dunno.
Apocalyptica took a big chance with "Reflections" in 2003, and it almost ended the band.
But the truth is, this album bores me.
Stroke is one of the best songs on here, and definitely has a great epic feel to it.Last Hope is a very bland and boring song, despite the great appearance from Lombardo.I Don't Care has potential to be a good ballad, I mean they were going in the right direction with the songwriting, but then Adam Gontier from Three Days Grace (One of the worst bands ever) ruins the song with his awful voice.
